Formed in 1999 to promote and share an appreciation and awareness of the Italian culture and heritage.
About the Lancaster Italian Cultural Society
For more than 25 years our goal has been to develop an awareness of the contributions of Italians and Italian Americans to the development of the United States of America and the world. In addition, we sponsor artistic and cultural activities of Italian origin in the community. The Lancaster Italian Cultural Society (LICS) promotes a greater understanding of the social mores and the values of the Italian heritage to our membership and the community. In doing so we develop a greater sense of pride in Italian- Americans for their Italian heritage and traditions with special emphasis upon educating Italian-American youth, including but not limited to sponsoring education grants, art awards, and recognition for community service.
